On 26th June, the openingceremony for this project was held in the workshop of DAMING Jingjiang Base.Three parties attended, WUHU SHIPYARD (Zhou Xinxing, vice general manager andJiang Bowang, the QA Manager), the China Classification Society (Li Hong,leader of CCS and Li Xiaoyong, the out-sourcing manager) and DAMING HEAVYINDUSTRY (Wang Jian, the general manager, Wu Xingsheng and Luo Zhihui, vicegeneral Managers).
This is the first time WUHU SHIPYARDCompany producing duplex steel chemical cargo ship, and the material quality,process control and delivery term are all strictly required. This 28000DWTcargo ship is also the first duplex steel chemical vessel that CSSindependently supervises and inspires. The CCS (China Classification Society)is the only professional institution and the only official member of theInternational Classification Society Association in ship classification surveybusiness. DAMING undertakes the supporting manufacturing processing of theduplex steel ship’s inner bulkheads, and the main service for technicaldrawings design, cutting, beveling, welding, bending, inspection and otherservices. Therefore, this is a significant cooperation among DAMING, WUHUSHIPYARD and CCS.
During the ceremony, The WUHU SHIPYARD confirmedthe strong professionalism and qualification of DAMING and expected highly inthe future cooperation. The CCS strengthened the importance of this project inhelping WUHU SHIPYARD Company enter the duplex steel chemical vessel industryarea, and confirmed their future contribution in professional supervision andinspection in manufacturing processing. DAMING also promised they would makefull effort in project by using their professional experience over the pastyears. Three parties agreed to cooperate deeply in this project, as apreparation for the future corporative projects.
